Christmas Holiday

Looking back now, I realize it was a strange weekend. It started out normal enough. Cleaning the house, getting ready for the crowd of family on Saturday evening. Eating dinner together, opening presents. Everyone gone by 10:00. Maybe that's where it started getting weird. We're usually up until the wee hours.

Maybe it started earlier in the day. I was very testy for most of the day because I had no help in straitening the house. Why am I the only one?!

Went to church Sunday morning. On the way, my aunt popped a nitro pill. Should we go to the hospital instead of church?

Church was mostly good. One strange song was sung. I don't really think it fit with our beliefs. Otherwise, it was a time of praising our Lord Jesus. That was very good.

On the way home, we went to the hospital. Sat in the waiting room for about an hour while they ran tests on my aunt. Mom stayed with her, so the rest of us decided to go on home.

Had a light lunch of chicken salad. Should I go ahead and start dinner or will we be going back to the hospital? Mom called. They're ready to be picked up from the hospital. Released aunt. That was good.

Prepared the evening meal. Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, brocolli casserole, green beans, corn, rolls. Family came back over. That was good.

Played cards. Went to bed. Yes, that was a different Christmas weekend.
